I have not been a bad blogger lately it is just that we moved this weekend and I have no internet at my new house!!! I should have set it up before we moved, but I have been so crazy busy it slipped my mind :D We should be getting it in the next five days, so if it takes me a little longer to respond to emails please forgive me. Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

This year, hundreds of thousands of people will hear the words, “You have breast cancer,” and there’s a good chance that some of them will be people we know and love. I have chosen to fight back against this disease and help make a difference by participating in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, and I hope you will join me.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is our opportunity to honor and celebrate breast cancer survivors, educate women about early detection and prevention, and raise money to fund lifesaving research and support programs to help fight breast cancer. But Making Strides is more than just the name of a walk, it describes the amazing progress we can make if we work together to defeat this disease.

Below is a link to my Aunt Debbie's website who is a breast Cancer Survivor of 9 years. I hope you will visit her site and sign up to join her team. Jennifer and Eric {Married}

So I apologize for this being the longest post ever. I have wrestled and struggled with picking the pictures for this post because I was in love with all of them! (which is a good problem to have I guess) This wedding probably goes down in history as the most fun wedding I have shot!

Jennifer and Eric started dating when they were about 13 and the their love is so obvious and you can not help but smile when you look at the two of them together. They are amazing people inside and out, they love the Lord, and they both have some serious dance moves that I wish I had! When Jennifer called me to shoot her wedding, we instantly hit it off and I hired Lisette to drive up from Alabama to second shoot the wedding with me and she did a fabulous job. We had a blast when Jennifer grabbed us and threw us onto the dance floor and danced with us! Josh grabbed some pictures of that but in risk of huge embarrassment I decided to leave those out! Lol

Anyways Jennifer and Eric your wedding was amazing and I wish you so much joy and happiness and that God would bless your marriage !!

After Jennifer and Eric left, her Dad and Mom were hugging and crying it was one of the sweetest moment I have seen!

My niece came to visit me, and It was amazing. She is so rad and we are a lot alike in may ways. She however is FEARless which is one thing I am not. I took her to white water while she was in town and she had me riding things that had me trembling. Of course I held it all together and made her think that I was not scared one bit. She also had a loose tooth, and literally every ten minuets she made me check it to see if it was ready to fall out...she was determined. Anyways yea for cool neices coming to visit, and for sweet life moments.

*edit* I just talked to my sister and my niece lost her tooth, hooray.

Camping out for the iPhone?? ahhh yea

So after a fantabulous (yes its a word) dinner at my favorite restaurant, Moes, Josh and I drove by the ATT store to see if there were any, what we called "crazies", already lined up for the iPhone release. Our plan was to wake up around 5 am and get in line so we would be guaranteed a spot to get the phone, but at 7pm there were already people lined up. Josh and I started chatting with them and we found out that at last years release the iPhone sold out in 35 minutes. So I was like omgosh what if we don't get one!! My irrational mind thought, we must go home right now and get our sleeping bags and camp out!!....and well, that is exactly what we did. It was so much fun. After three lovely hours of sleep I now have my fabulous iPhone in hand and I LOVE it!! I love when Josh and I can live spur-of-the-moment and make memories together. It makes life so much sweater and exciting Here are few pictures from our crazy random night. Enjoy :o)

Danielle and Chris [ Married ]

When I pulled up to this wedding at the Cornelia Community House, I got super excited! Not only because I got to shoot with the fabulous Lauren Wright but I saw a huge truck with the words inscribed, Events By Dezine !! Jennifer Mineo is a fabulous coordinator so fabulous in fact that I had the honor of having her coordinate my wonderful wedding. It was just so good seeing her again and as you can see below her work is more than fantastic!

Lauren called me a few weeks before this wedding to see if I would not mind driving up to shoot with her. I was so glad that I did! LW hung out with the ladies and I chilled with the guys! When I walked into there house, my heart stopped and it was love at first sight. There was a sweet, snow white bundle of joy...MACKENZIE!! This dog stole my heart! It was soooo stinking sweet and literally followed me around everywhere to watch me shoot!

Happy 4th !!

I hope you all have a very happy and safe 4th of July! As for me...my parents are coming in from Jacksonville, and when Josh and I we went to Ohio we stopped in Tennessee and bought a BUNCH of fireworks. It is going to be so much fun shooting them off tonight. Anyways I just wanted to wish you all a Happy 4th, I will add some pictures later tonight from out fireworks extravaganza! Holla!!

Texas meets Georgia

So a couple of weeks ago I decided to contact Braeden, the amazing photographer behind Ambient 11 Photography, to come down from Texas to take pictures for my website and blog. He so kindly agreed, and I was soooo overjoyed. I wanted something fresh, new, and something I felt showcased my passion as an artist.

Braeden came down on Wednesday and we shot and shopped on Thursday and on Friday I got my images!! I love them and could not wait to show yall... here are some of the shots snapped by Braden AKA "Boom" (Hire him and you will find out what that means) You will see some of these on my newer website/blog soon. I also have something in the works that is going to be awesome and can't reveal details yet but I am super stoked about it!

OSP Get-together

So a while back about 12 photographers from all around ( GA, AL, and SC) came down to Atlanta for a little OSP get-together. I had a wonderful time getting to know the other photographers and the awesome models we had for the day! We first met for lunch at Atlanta's famous burger joint The Varsity, and then we drove down to Piedmont Park to do a little shooting. After we left there, we headed down to Little Five Points and I threw on my wedding dress and let the other photographers grab some shots of me. I had a blast, although it felt like 100 degrees in my dress... I always love the opportunity to get in front of the camera instead of behind it. I cant wait to do that again on Thursday when I have the photo-shoot for my website. Anyways there are so many things I can not wait to share with you so check back often! Much love!

Okay this first girl is Ashely, unfortunately I did not get to spend much time shooting her :( Half of the group took her to do some shooting and the other half could not locate them for a while but she was super sweet and as you can see absolutely stunning! I love this shot!

I have a very awesome photographer coming next week to do a shoot for my blog+website. I am so excited and can't hardly wait. HAPPY FATHERS DAY!! If you know anything about me you know what a huge part my dad is in my life. He has and always will be one of my best friends. I think this is the first fathers day EVER that I have not been with my dad and I sure hope it is the last. I just got back from Ohio and unfortunately could not make it down to share this special day with him. My Dad is the hardest worker I know, the best listener, always has us laughing and is the an awesome man of God. I am so lucky to have him apart of my life.

AWESOME time in AL now on to Ohio

Monday we took a group of our church kids to this little ole town in Alabama, for an amazing time with the Lord. I can not tell you how blessed I was by it and how awesome it was to see 4 year olds praising the Lord and praying for our country. If you have not heard of Karen Wheaton, I urge you to check out her website and the awesome minstitry she does with Kids and youth through a little thing called RAMP.

Anyways Josh and I are on our way to Ohio. My best-friend from College is getting married and I am so excited for her. I am going to be a bridesmaid, how fun is that? So I will be away from my phone and email for the most part so If you send me something give me till Monday to hear back from me.

Emily and Jay {Married}

I had a great time shooting Emily and Jay's wedding with the amazing Mike Mooreland in Norcross, GA a couple of weeks ago. The wedding was very simple and beautiful. It was held at Norcoss First United Methodist. The reception was held at St. Ives Golf and Country Club and was gorgeous! And let me just say the band was rockin!! Meet The Dingess Family

Josh and I had a wonderful time meeting Danny, Christina, Nate and Dano at their photo-shoot last Monday! Christina found out about me from a maternity shoot I did a few months back for Tara and Greg. I was blown away by Christina's sweet spirit and heart! We had a lot of fun getting to know them. They are awesome and have a gorgeous home. I was so excited when Christina told me her little baby niece, Aerial would be joining us for the shoot! Josh and I want kids someday but not for a long while, so its always fun to be around little babies!! Anywhooo..... Dingess family here is your début on my blog... I hope you enjoy!

ohh on days like these how much I miss Jacksonville.... well not so much the city but the beach and of course my awesome family! Josh and I have had a busy couple of weeks! Lots of work, but tons of play! Memorial day was a nice little break for both of us. Josh and walked around the mall, and then went to a arcade where we played Marvel VS Capcom ( Josh's favorite game ever) and then played a little game of Putt-Putt....we won't say who won, its a sore subject, but her name starts with A and ends with manda! Ha ha! Three hole-in-one's baby!!! Then after that we had an awesome Family shoot with the Dingess's! I have so many things to blog about and I promise to have a new post before Saturday! Anyways just wanted to give a little update and I am excited about this Friday's Photographer get-together! I had a great time in Destin, even though the Destination wedding I was suppose to shoot got rescheduled due to the rain :( I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason :D A great thing I got to do was catch up with my fellow photographer friend Lisette! We had a wonderful time hanging out and It was great getting to finally meet her awesome husband Tim!! After our shoot we went to P.F. Changs, one of my favorite restaurants (This is were Josh and I went on our first date as a couple) and had a wonderful time talking about all sorts of things! Eric and Jennifer [ Engaged ]

So the award for the most fun engagement shoot EVER, hands down goes to Eric and Jennifer. I seriously did not stop laughing the entire time and I had a great time getting to know them both. It is always awesome to have clients who trust you and you are willing to try crazy things in order to get cool pictures ! I cant wait for there wedding next Saturday. Jennifer told me they are going to do a lot of salsa dancing! I can not wait to capture that!

The best part of the day was when we were about to rap up the shoot. I was standing in the middle of the road trying to get a cool shot of them and a Marta bus pulled by. We thought the driver wanted us to hop on and Eric and Jennifer trying to politely say no when the driver jumped of the bus and wanted to take a picture of all of us. So he did..and It was really blurry. So then I said do you mind if we hop on for a second, and He let us! See below for the shot I got :D

My Joy List

Howdy, I just got back from church it was fun. I talked about Tongue Control :D It was awesome and relevant, and more importantly the kids loved it. It was based off of James 1:19; 3.

Anyways...a while ago (Thanksgiving 06) my husband's side of the family went to Colorado to go skiing. (Although a majority of my time was spent sitting in the hot tube or by the fire.) During that time we all made something called "The Joy List." It is a concept Josh's Dad created where you make a list of anything and everything that you can think of that brings you JOY. Then you give it to all the people in your life that you love and spend time with. That way they can do things that bring you joy! Anyways it sounds so simple, but it really helps people connect and do things that make someone else's day! New Website

AHHHHHHH So...I am proud to finally announce the release of my brand new website, designed by the fabulous, amazing, handsome, awesome, talented, did I say amazing, Joshua Kidd, my wonderful husband. Josh has worked really hard to make me the website of my dreams, and can I just say he has more that succeeded! I am very proud and honored to have him design me such a beautiful reflection of my work and my creativity.

When designing a website you have to think about a lot of different things, colors, fonts, music... and sometimes its hard to nail down exactly what you think will work (thats why its taken us a while) I am so glad that he was patient with me and worked with me till the last details were perfected. There are a lot of compaines out there that have website templates you can customize, but I wanted something that was unique to me and even though it was a harder road then I expected, I am really glad that I made that choice.

Can I just say that my dreams of being a Professional Photographer would be nothing without Josh. He has really encouraged me to follow my dreams, to stretch myself, and to learn more than ever, that I can do anything I put my mind to. I am so glad that I listened to his encouragement and pursued the thing that I am most passionate about. Its awesome to have those kinds of people in your life, and I encourage you to only allow those types of people to be around you.

Every time I get off the phone with my "Father-in-Love" he always says, "remember I'm in your balcony." The first time I heard it, I laughed, But when he explained it to me I was so thankful to have him in my life. Having people that are "In your balcony" simply means having people in your life that always pull you up, always encourage you, and bring you to a better place. So surround your self with balcony people and be one your self. You will reach places you never thought possible, or help others reach a place they never would have without your encouragement!

He Holds All Things Together

My Grandpa forwarded me this video of one of my favorite Pastors/Speakers on the planet, Louie Giglio. I actually had the chance to meet him a while back, and it was awesome. Josh and I were at PF Changs, and out of the corner of my eye I see Louie Giglio and his beautiful wife sitting in a booth eating. I was in a bit of shock, because so many times my life has been truly impacted by words the Lord speaks through Louie. I keep looking over, contemplating with myself if I should go over and say something, and I finally did. He and his wife were the most down to earth people I have ever met. I was so blown away by his general attitude and sweet spirit! Anyways, if you have never had the chance to listen to Louie Giglio please take the time to watch this video. It will truly blow you way!!

I know that God holds all things together and has every detail of our life in his hands. He sees things we can never see and he knows all of our needs! It is so encouraging to know that and to trust in him. If you are going through anything, just remember like Louie said, the Lord literally holds all things together!

Tara and Greg are having a baby!

I had such a blast shooting Tara and Greg's maternity pics...but their more-than-adorable son, Noah, stole the show for me. When I first arrived at their house, he had just woken up from a nap, so I was nervous that he was going to be a wee bit cranky...but to my surprise, he was incredibly happy and said "cheese" more times then I can count... it was the cutest thing ever!

I met Tara what seems like ages ago at church, and as soon as we met we became really good friends. Her husband and I met while he was a Youth Pastor down in Gainesville. It's really fun for me to shoot people that I know personally, but on the other hand, it is fun to shoot new people and develop friendships. It's my goal to not be known as your "photographer" but as a your new friend! It was such an honor for me to take pictures for them. Tara and Greg are an awesome couple and so passionate about living for the Lord. I am going to be shooting their new baby Cole when he comes, so I will definitely keep you all up to date! Thanks Tara and Greg for a great shoot!

I asked Noah where the new baby was and he jerked up Tara's shirt and said, "in here!"

Noah was dying to play basketball instead of taking pictures so we let him play for a while. This is one of my favorites.

Summer { Jacksonville, FL }

I had such a great time in Jacksonville and part of the reason was because I had a blast doing a Glam Bridal Shot for my beautiful cousin, Summer. Summer and Mike got married Last April and their one year anniversary is coming up soon! Congratulations guys! We had a blast walking around San Marco getting gorgeous shots of Summer in her beautiful wedding dress. Summer's Mom, Aunt Beth came along with us on the shoot (she is the sweetest thing ever) She was so funny clapping and cheering us on! After the shoot, Summer, Mike, Josh and I went down to the landing and had dinner at The American Cafe. Summer and I were talking about one of our favorite shows The Hills and so I descided to use the theme song in her slideshow! Check it out!

Georgia { Savannah, GA }

Well this is my last post from the amazing Savannah shoot. This last bride is Georgia, she is an amazing woman and super sweet! When we took these pictures of her, her fiance' Andrew was in Iraq. Thankfully I believe he is now home with his soon-to-be bride!

It's really cool to see the different personalities of the brides. At lunch Georgia was the quietest but when we went out shooting she turned on her va va voom and impressed us all! The first few pictures are of me in action, and then I threw in some pictures we took of all three of the girls together! Enjoy and leave me some love notes!

I had such and amazing time shooting in Savannah a couple of weeks ago. I met some amazing Photographers , that I mentioned in a early post and three amazing brides. Rhonda was one of those brides. It was really nice getting to know her, she was so sweet and willing to do whatever we asked! I also had a great time with my roomies Lisette and Lauren. This is us acting all crazy in Savannah.

Wow, Last night and tonight on American Idol they sang one of my favorite worship songs. I was shocked that they sang it but absolutely so happy that millions of people across the world heard this amazing, anointed song. On a sadder note Michael Johns, was who my favorite contestant got voted off last night. I was hoping that he would make it to the top, but I know God must have bigger and better plans for him!

Duck Tales

Josh and I have had such a wonderful relaxing vacation so far. Even though today was still rainy and cloudy, we seem to always make the best of the situations that we are in. Thats one thing I love about our relationship (among the millions)

Anyways... behind my parents condo is a little lake with tons of cute little baby ducks. Josh and I went out back after having lunch with my dad at Five Guys. Josh grabbed some bread and as I was laying in the grass the little ducks just came right up to us. It was really neat....anyways just wanted to share the fun little pictures I got of the ducks!

Jerimy and Shannon {Destin, FL}

Well my trip to Florida has been full of lots and lots of rain :o) We have yet been to the beach because its been rainy and cold. But Josh and I have had an amazing time so far and thats really all that matters to me. Our first few days in Destin were lots of fun. Josh did an amazing job playing the drums and my short photoshoot went well. For about thirty minutes the rain stopped pouring from the sky and we jumped in the car and got as many shots as we could till the rain came down again. There was a flash flood warning all day and many parts of Destin were flooded, but overall I think it worked out great! Here are some pictures from the shoot in Destin, I have two more here in Jacksonville this week and pray it will clear up so we can get to the beach!

I had to put this picture. I was clicking away and turned around seeing hope holding an umbrella over Josh's head...it was so cute. She was trying to protect him from the rain!

Its Vacation time...well kind of :D

Well...the time has come for me to return to the beach, even if only for a week (tear)... I never thought I would miss being near the beach as much as I do, but I miss it a lot! I am really excited about this week, number one because I get to spend more time with the love of my life, and secondly because I will get to see my family. I have a couple of buisness things I am going to do but for the most part I am going to relax, grab some sunflower seeds, a good book, and recoup.

So here is my Itinerary for my mini Vaycay...

Friday: After Josh gets off work we are heading to Destin, FL!! Woo hoo ... (My sister and her hubby live there now and this is my first visit)
Saturday: I am doing a Photoshoot and then going to watch Josh play the drums for a Worship event there.
Sunday: We are going to church again, Josh will be playing the drums for three Sunday morning services. After church we are meeting with a new photographer friend if we have time :o)
Monday- Friday: We will be in Jacksonville and soaking in the sun! I also have two more photo shoots in Jacksonville and will be posting them when I get back! I will try and keep you all filled in on my fun filled vactaion as much as I can. Pray we have a safe trip down...here is our route.

I am Feeling The Love

I was blown away at the response I got regarding my new blog! Its so encouraging to know that people are excited and love my blog as much as I do! Thanks to everyone who stopped by the release of my new blog yesterday. What's awesome is that people from all over the United States, Canada and even one person from Mexico came by to look! Check out this picture which shows where all the people who took a look were located...this is pretty nifty! :D There were a total of 321 unique new visitors!

So now for some pictures! A couple of weeks ago, I went down to Savannah GA to do a bridal shoot for three gorgeous ladies! I was in fabulous company... Carrie and Philip V (who put this all together) Ava Kate, Lisette Price, Lauren Wright, Jason Tench, and Jennifer Meyer were all there capturing fabulous pictures of the brides. It was tons of fun. Sometimes its hard to get the type of pictures you want when 6 other photographers are there trying to get the same shot, but its always a learning experience being around other photographers and I had a blast getting to know them! I especially loved my roomies and friends Lisette and Lauren!

Today I am only posting pictures of the wonderful Leah (more to come of the other brides later this week) She was awesome, and so down to earth. We had the funniest thing happen ever! Her and I were greeting a cute little dog that was running around in Savannah, when all the sudden it hiked up its leg and tried to take a little pee on Leah! It was the funniest thing ever! Thankful she jumped before the dog placed his mark! We had to take a picture with it after that! It was sweet regardless of its attempt to stain Leah's dress.

Newness - A year filled with a lot of it

Well, my fabulous new blog is here! I have been itching to show you guys and now the time has come for you to see what I have been working on!

For the past few months I have been working alongside the best graphic/web artist I know, Joshua Kidd (My Husband) to design my new blog and website. I wanted it to truly represent who I am as woman and as a Photographer. Joshua owns a graphic solutions company called Resolve to Create, and apart from having great customer service, he works hard until every last detail is perfected! I have had such a wonderful journey to get to this place. I am so thankful for everyone that put in hard work helping me come up with ideas, proofing my work and encouraging me every step of the way. Im thankful for all the new friends I have made since starting on this road and look forward to making lots more.

My dad who is an incredible preacher told me yesterday on the phone that 2008 was the year of new beginnings. According to Biblical Numerology, the number eight represents new beginnings, which definitely confirms all the new things in my life this year. New business, new relationships and new direction! I am so excited about all the "new" thats in my life right now. New things can be scary, intimidating and draining, but I am holding on with all I have and diving in head first! I am so excited my new blog is here, and I hope that you come back often to see all the new things that are going on in my life.

I encourage anyone who is reading this that is afraid to take the dive, to let go of all your reservations and follow your dreams. If you use the gifts God has given you, he will provide opportunities for you to use them! Good luck!
